Universal Meta Finance(UMF) is a new fractional-algorithmic stablecoin protocol. UMF is open-source, permissionless, and entirely on-chain — currently implemented on Binance Smart Chain and other chains. The ultimate goal of the UMF protocol is to provide resilient, decentralized algorithmic assets that become easy to use, secure and reliable digital assets in the meta-universe.

The creative philosophy of UMF is derived from the academic theory and economic thinking of Friedrich August von Hayek and the Austrian School. We believe that protecting private property and defending individual freedom is the most important function of crypto-digital currencies, a function that has become increasingly important since the birth of Bitcoin and will affect human society even more in the future. In order to bring the world of crypto-digital currencies to more ordinary people, we have developed UMF, an unparalleled protocol using concepts that common sense can explain, which includes the following key features.

Universal Meta Dollar(UMD) is a stablecoin with parts of its supply backed by collateral and parts of the supply algorithmic. The ratio of collateralized and algorithmic depends on the market’s pricing of the UMD. If UMD is trading at above $1, the protocol decreases the collateral ratio. If UMD is trading at under $1, the protocol increases the collateral ratio.

Universal Meta Share(UMS) is the governance token which accrues fees, seigniorage revenue, and excess collateral value.

Decentralized & Governance-minimized — Community governed and emphasizing a highly autonomous, algorithmic approach with no active management.

Fully on-chain oracles — UMD v1 uses PANCAKE (BNB, BUSD, time-weighted average prices) and Chainlink (USD price) oracles.
